Description
Gin Magiantosa is a Sicilian gin produced using the traditional, time-honoured method. It has a dry, intensely fruity flavour with rich floral notes, excellently reflecting the taste of the island of Sicily.
Serving suggestion
For a classic gin and tonic, we recommend using a sugar-free tonic water. Of course, this gin can also be used in other cocktails. We additionally recommend enjoying Gin Magiantosa neat. Served at a temperature between 15–18°C, its unique flavour is fully brought to life.
The recipe
Gin Magiantosa is produced using the traditional, time-honoured method. As with every gin, the base is a juniper spirit. In addition, the Magiantosa company uses a variety of spices, fruits, and botanicals such as rosemary, lemon peel, black pepper, marjoram, cardamom, and basil in its production. Some of the seasonal ingredients, which grow wild on Mount Etna, are harvested in summer when the hot Scirocco wind from the Sahara blows across the Mediterranean to Sicily. They give Gin Magiantosa its unique character.
The Magiantosa company is a small family-run business located on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. It places great value on artisanal tradition and regional as well as seasonal ingredients. All products made by Magiantosa are intended to reflect the soul and flavour of Sicily.
